Seems like this is the time o' year to catch some hawgy bass. Seems like ODB bass guide is the only one doing any catching.
I'll have to get out and see if I can contribute a pic or two.

Caught a nice smallie at Hagg last weekend. Not sure of the weight, but it measured at 16". It sure was a blast to catch. Sorry, no pics. My husband also caught a smaller one, and we also caught some trout. :)

No, been working on the sled...... building a new duck blind for it.
Blinds, blinds and more duck blinds (http://www.ifish.net/board/showthread.php?t=217393)
Yeah, probably should've been out on the water last weekend but my mind is focused on geting this blind done before the rains.......I'm close but won't beat the rains.....or the duck opener.
I have great ambitions this year of getting my daughters out in it for a little boat blind breakfast and hot coco.
It's all for the girls ya know.
Need to get it done so I can go out and enjoy the fall frenzy.

I have only been fishing a couple times since july. Once bow season starts it just consumes all of my free time.. Cant wait til controlled rifle ends in a few more weeks so I can go chase some crappies on the willamette..:D

I only made it out a total of 3 times is Sept. With the rain moving in this weekend I wish I could be out on the water right now to fish the front end of the storm, but it looks like I will be sitting on the sidelines and watching other people post fish this weekend.
I'm heading to Brownlee (Woodhead) in about 2 hours for 5 days. Bad part is that rain, thunderstorms and cold weather will also be there for the first 2 days. I'll probably just hideout and play cards until Sunday when the weather gets better. Still good to get out though.

I tried the Willamette a couple of times last week. A few fish here and there, but no big ones. Same thing for the Columbia on 10/1. On 10/3 I went to the John Day around Burnt Ranch and the Prineville Reservoir. The John Day was on fire for dinks and the Prineville was slow. The water temp. for both was around 60 F.

Weird year on the Columbia, for me anyway. Early season it was high and muddy, so I didn't bother to fish some of my favorite spawning holes. Late summer was so hot that water temps didn't cool til just recently. I would assume there is a good bite now, but saving my precious R&R time for hunting season....
