just sitting around at home and was wondering, is there any good carp, cat, bass, bluegill, ect. fishing below the willamette falls on gladstone side around this time of year? any info at all would be great and would help me get out of the house

I have heard good things about Meldrum bar park, fishing the banks for bass. I haven't tried it myself from the bank, but have done well from the boat around there.

Yes big time and its all public bank acess. You have the lake/slog up from the mouth where the police boats are. Clackamett park and meldrum also offer good bank fishing in the willy. For starters you can cast off meldrum spit on the boat launch side cast rainbow pattern plugs or use worms live or rubber. I used to catch bass in there waiting for my buddies to take me water skiing. You can also hike around the meldrum boat launch and fish a inlet slog by the big homes on the river.

I have fished clackamette cove there a few times and have only caught one smally, by the inlet from the river. I have tried for crappie or bluegill, but haven't had any luck.
