What's the most effective strategy for fall walleye on the big C? Fishing farther upriver towards Mcnary and even venturing up to the mouth of the Snake...any info is welcomed! thx.

We fish them in Roosevelt in the winter so it may be different than where you are talking but we usually just drop shot a worm or jig them. It seems like you just have to get out there and try a few things and different colors depending on the weather and water condition. I know that is not to much help but if I think of more specific help Ill let you know. Have fun.

Just saw a show that talked about running deep diving cranks for active fall fish. Anyone fish like that around our parts or is it mostly a bottom bouncer/worm harness type of fishing?

I've had pretty consistent luck below McNary on either worm harnesses behind bottom bouncers or deep diving cranks. So far, I've hit six over 9 pounds, including a 14.3 thre years ago. I'm headed there Friday for the four days, as a matter of fact. I'll let you know how we did.

Yeah, for fall fishing not much is done differantly than summer.
But as we get into Nov -Dec and the water temps drop, you want to slow things up as the fish become more sluggish.
Jigs and bladebaits...not so much crankbaits and even worm harnesses need to be ran as slow as possible.

Same for spring. Sllllooooooowwwwwwwww.
