Drove by it yesterday and the water is down even farther. This is a good time of year to have a car topper or something easy to carry to the waters edge. I spent a few days last year all by myself when they dropped it. Not a single boat on the lake except for mine.

went out with my buddy tonight and my buddy caught a 4lb 8oz largemouth on a norman dd goby color crankbait. i will get pics up later

took the kids there to fish for crappie. got a few bites. water level was about 5 ft lower than normal.
It's the annual lake clean up and maintenance on the dam. They draw it down so volunteers can pick up the garbage around the lake. They usually find a few stolen cars that were dumped in the lake at the boat launch at the east side of the lake.

oh thats good that they clean it up yearly. yea my buddy was telling me he saw something on the news a few weeks ago about stolen cars being found there.
