I am going to be in Warrenton for the entire week, and saw that Cullaby is close by. Just wondering if anyone is going to be over there fishing or lives nearby and wants to fish one evening? If not, is Cullaby suitable for any kind of productive bank fishing? If it isn't and no one is going to be over there then I won't bring my rods but I just HAD to check since I have heard some good things about it. If I don't hear by tomorrow morning at 6am then I won't bring them.
Thanks!

There is a ring of thick floating grass/moss all around most of the lake. Take grass frogs and the like.

I visited that lake only once and bank fished for about an hour in late afternoon. water was almost a coffee color and pretty fishy looking. I have read about some huge fish caught there in spring and fall; hope you break your new PB!

I used to fish cullaby a lot. Very hard to be productive bank fishing on this lake. There are some monster bass though.

I ditto the weed problems around the bank.
Try to bring anything that floats if possible.
A few years ago we found a big school of Black crappie and were nailing them on small black jigs with bobbers. Went back and couldnt find em.
Good luck !
