Well, my lab and I are heading to Iowa tomorrow. I've lived in Oregon most all my life and have really enjoyed it. I have fished nearly every place in this state that I've wanted to. I'd really like to thank many of the ifishers here for giving me tips about when and where to go. I'd especially like to thank Crappie Chaser over at the Powder River. Gary, you are one of the nicest, REAL people I know over there and YOU especially have taught me alot about the Snake. Someday, I'll be back to visit and maybe live over near Halfway. But for now, I'm going to go get a place in Iowa, and spend some time with many of my realatives (who also live to fish/hunt). Thanks again everyone, and I'll still be on Ifish. I just won't be able to share my recent Oregon experiences. Take care, be safe, and catch a bunch of fish!:thisbig:

Take care and good luck in Iowa. There's a lot going on there out in the field too. You'll grow to love it. Bill

Good luck back there, Damon. I am a former Hawkeye. Where abouts in the state are you going to relocate?

I'll be living in the NE corner of Iowa. Pretty close to Decorah. That's where most of the fam. lives, and the employment, fishing, and hunting is all close together. I may eventually relocate to southern Iowa but that will take some time.

Made it to Iowa. It was a great drive. We took a bit of a longer route (about 350 extra). But it was great. Saw at least 1000 antelope in Wyoming and a couple hundred ringnecks in South Dakota. A few deer, a few turkey. Can't wait for the Whitetail hunting here. The family has property on the southern border of Iowa where the monsters are. Won't be able to bow hunt this year but I will gun hunt. I'll take pics. Hope you all are catching the heck out of the fish. I plan on trying a little walleye fishing here Monday. Thanks for all the nice comments and I'll surely keep in touch!
