Anybody out there fished Wilsonville pond before. I heard there were bass and other panfish in there. I stopped by to take a look and it looks like Ted Bundy used to dump his victims there. Kinda dirty and didn't look to promising, but you never know.

Ironic that I saw this post. I just got back from that pond. Just wanted to catch a few bluegill for the kids to look at. We walked around the pond, made a few casts but didn't see a lot of activity or any fish. I'm sure there are bass, catchfish, bluegill and probably some carp in there but not an ideal place to fling a fly. we didn't touch a fish, but really did not try very hard.

I did about the same....saw one fish tailing in the sticks think it was probably a carp. I've heard there is supposed to be a lot of pan fish in there, but it looks more like a transient camp.

I float tubed it several years ago. Too make a long story short. Caught a few bass but my car was broken into. I was told by OSP that there is a camp behind the pond and you should not leave anything unattended. They did a lot of damage to my car and got nothing out of it.:twocents:
I've driven by that place for 13 years, wanting to stop and check it out. Finally stopped about a month ago, walked down the bank a few yards, got back in the car and will never go back.
Next time I want to flycast to panfish, I'll go to vernonia lake, must nicer place with plenty of space.

You can see it from the I-5 just south of Wilsonville. Plug Wilsonville pond into google and it will give you the directions. I would go a little farther south and check out St Louis ponds......I haven't been there, but I hear there is some good bass there....that will probably be my next "adventure".

Hmmmm...I've seen that place. Not really Wilsonville...more like crackheadville
i stopped there once...it looked like someone had dumped their old furniture in the bushes...next to the sign that says "this area is under video surveillance"...
