Pulling the Crank Case cover on a 4 cyl 4 stroke Yamaha

I need to pull the crank case cover on a 2000 Yamaha 4 cyl 4 stroke (100 horse) anyone know if the case is removable without pulling the whole powerhead? I ordered a service manual, but it hasnt arrived yet.

Time for a little visual inspection...
