replace shear pin

how do i fix the shear pin i broke yesterday? i have an 8 horse 92' 2 stroke merc. i pulled the prop off but there is no shear pin.

do i have to pull the entire lower unit off? anybody know what I broke? the all in 1 handle does not lock in neutral right now. help:(

What exactly happened that makes you think you broke a shear pin ???

Mine is a tad newer, but I'm sure it doesn't have a 'shear' pin.
You have some thing else going on.
Can you disconnect the linkage from the tiller and shift it
manually?

Im no expert but have owned a few motors. I end up going to Hillsboro a few times a week and would be glad to take a quick peek at it for ya...no guarantees...but no charge.
