Owyhee report

Camped and fished Owyhee Res. over Labor Day weekend. Everything as usual. Lots of crappie, some nice smallmouths and only one cat. Caught a 27" cat last year but the weather was too stormy the night we fished from the bank and only landed one small cat.
Crappie fishing was fast and furious. The crappie were slightly larger this year but none over 11 1/2".
The partiers and dogs were a little quieter this year in the McCormack campground. Always good news when you are fishing early in the morning.

We fished the lower end. Put in by the marina and headed south. We caught the most @ behind the floating outhouse. Had some periods of hot bites down by the summer homes. Also was reported to have some schools in the arm that is located just past the castle. PM me if you have more questions. We stocked up for the winter too. We have fish@ least once per week and find Owyee is the place to do it.
