Best place to buy Lowrance

Guys and gals looking to buy a Lowrance 113 or 111 or possibly the 37 is there any screamin deals that anyone knows about.:meme:

Unfortunately I believe the prices on those are pretty much set. they sell them by what package you decide on...transducer and such. I bought an LCX 28C HD and the price has not dropped in over a year. Now what you can do is buy the minimum and try to get a deal on the accessories. Sometimes Fishermens Marine will give out a gift card with the purchase of a Lowrance....look for those...I used mine to get a MAPS SD by Navionics.

Ask for Todd, he can educate you on all the particulars of those products.
You definately want a dual freq transducer if you fish in the Columbia or the high seas.

uh...... dual frequency if you fish the salt and single 200hz if you fish water. That's what I gleened from Lowarnce and other articles on Transducers. I have the 27C with the single frequency, had the dual and took it off since I fish freshwater ( Columbia )

A 200 kHz transducer typically has a 10 degree cone angle and the 50 kHz are at 45 degrees so I’d go with the dual freq as it gives you bigger picture of what’s around you.

You may wish to search this and other forums regarding the problems the Lowrance electronics have been having. I know I am having issues with mine after just a few years. There are some other brands out there that seem to be holding up better and are comparable.

This. Jim is the man and most likely has the best price around. If you need to buy local then its hard to beat the knowledge and service from the guys at Portland Marine Electronics. And I too echo the sentiment that Lowrance may not be the way to go.

Based on personal experience id buy from Portland Marine electronics. you may pay average prices but these guys rock:excited::excited::excited::excited::excited:. Their knowledge is unsurpassed. Someone who actually has the customer service thing figured out!!!!!!
