I went fishing at Lake Oswego yesterday and caught about 25 1lbers (dinks!) I pitched under a dock that was full of old rusty other dock parts and promptly got snagged, then the snag started pulling line. I pulled him (her?) out of there the best I could with lighter spinning tackle and 8lb test line. I actually succeeded in getting her out, she flopped at the surface, and broke my line. :passout::passout::passout::passout:
This fish was well over 8lbs and probably pushing 9, its the biggest bass I've ever hooked; and lost.

It was hooked on a three inch wacky senko, fall feels like it is here early go out there and slay them!

I know the feeling FF. You keep reliving that moment that you lost it and trying to come with things that you could have done differently. That's too bad, man. You will get another chance though. I hear there are some real brutes in there. I think I would go to a heavier line, knowing it's possible to hang a pig.
I have always wanted to fish that lake. How do I get a free hall pass into there?

Man it sure would be nice....:meme::excited:

If anyone has access I would love to dump my boat in there for a day (I would even bring you lunch!!).... I am not even sure if that is allowed however...

too bad

only thing really to do is to learn from past experiences and improve on them. the most common forumla is big line for big fish. you only get one shot at a giant, but you know where they live. come back another day and be better prepared.

post up pics when you land the fish

Ya thats not allowed either :passout: It is hard to get your boat registered for the lake, the fee is something like $3000 to start up :passout::passout::passout:

Its almost better to just sneak in to fish.

Its almost better to just sneak in to fish. Getting my official G&F uniform ready. I'm, um, doing a fish sample, yea, that's it.
