Just picked up a used Evinrude, model#4636m. Need advice on where to get a hold of a owners manual. Also looking for information on what the oil-gas mixture for this motor is, and what the gap should be for the plugs. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

You should be able to get the manual at Iboats. com. I believe 50:1 mixture was pretty much standard. The really old motors(50's-60's) required 24:1 mix. Not sure about the plug gap, but you would be ok somewhere around .030. You might type in that motor number on the search bar and see where it takes you. How's it run?

If it's been sitting for a few years, you might want to pull the lower unit and check/replace the water pump, as it's probably toast by now. If the pump housing is free of scoring/scratches, you should be able to get by with just an impeller. It's an easy fix.
