I have a small duck hunting boat on an older steel trailer I fixed up and would like to put a raised platform on it to carry a layout boat on top. The layout is 13ft, flat bottom and weight #120. Nothing too complex, just thinking of welding two posts up from near the axel/tire area and one in front of the winch. Then weld some rails that plywood would sit on.

I am looking for someone that can weld this up fairly inexpensively and that is near Oregon City. Any ideas/names?

Here is a duck boat on the trailer.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know of anybody in the Oregon City area. I can only recommend some shops in Western Washington County Area.

You could try the yellow pages?

I live in Salem and might be able to help you out on the weekend. I work for a welding shop and they don't mind if I use it on the weekend. If you have plans of what you want built, I can take a look around and see if we have some scrap steel laying around that you could use.

Give Tom Sperb a call at Tom's Outboards. He's located off 224 in Barton.
