I have just installed a new transducer on my boat.
i loose my signal at a very low speed (15-20mph) Is this norrmal or at what speed should I expect to loose my depth signal and is there any way to adjust this? Thanks
Dave

I think you need to tip your transducer towards the bow a little ...:twocents:

Picture's of your install and you will get lot's of suggestions; Well you did this wrong or you should have done that. Hope its an easy fix but without seeing it? I would try going deeper with the transducer little by little, (IF you don't have to drill new holes.) I Think if you keep at it you can get another 10 MPH out of the transducer!!!!! Not sure about the boat?
Look up the hull where your xdcr is installed, should not be anything upstream that will cause bubbles. Xdcr's dont like air. I'm lucky my seahawk has a smooth bottom upstream from the xdsr and will track bottom up 40 mph.

THe boat is 26' Striper. The transducer is a Garmin with speed wheel

look from the back ( stearn ) of the vessel.
I the transducer sits on the angle of the hull --- it should slit the hull 50/50 and be flat.
If you are on a flat part of the hull it shot be flat and split the hull. This part I am not sure if it should be above or below the hull.
You can go to Fishermans and look at the demo board and see.

Thanks for the info . Lowered the unit about 1/4" and 1 click toward the bow. (down on the tailend). Picked up another 10 MPH. Thanks again

You gained 10 MPH from just one click?! I've always wondered if I could get the 12 footer up to 50 MPH, this calls for three clicks :meme:

You got a good unit don't give up yet keep trying till you hit that 40. and if you truly add a second Will they both work? Mine don't! had to pull the fuse on one. Keep on Twisting and good luck....
