This is for the folks newer to flyfishing...
I just got done steam restoring a bunch of hair wing salmon flies, grasshoppers and attractors.
It's a small miracle taking flies that have been packed into boxes and watching the steam restore the hair and hackle to like-new condition.
All it takes is a tea kettle on your stove. Use forceps to hold the crumpled fly in the emitted steam for 5 or 10 seconds and watch the fly be restored to new condition.
So get those hoppers cleaned and restored and have a great splatting-the-bank season!
