Gas Tank?

I have a 6.5 gallon plastic tank for my smokercraft. The plastic portion thats the base for the fuel connector got loose somehow. Can i just epoxy the rubber gasket to make sure it's sealed tight or could epoxy cause problems.

Either replace the fitting or get a new tank , its not worth putting a patch on something as important as a fuel tank that has the propensity to explode or leave you stranded ...:twocents:
