Im heading up to either harriet or trillium this saturday. I have been to harriet once a while ago but i dont remember much. and the only time ive been to trillium was in the winter so im not too familiar with fishing at either lakes. wondering which one is better right now. plus i am wondering what lures i should use or just bait. replies would be apreciated. :excited:

Trillium really slowed up last week and they don't stock it for another 3 weeks.. I would try Harriet.Hear they are still picking up limits but Clear lake is still knocking them dead..

If you are fishing frm a boat, Harriet allows motors, Trillium does not.

i was near the far bank from the road.I was trolling earlier and then decided to stay in one place and bottom fish. i used corn on top of a worm because the fish really didnt go after the powerbait or lures that much although i got one on a wedding ring.

Oh yeah could you give me a report on clear lake motocross5646? I havent been there yet and i dont know how it is.

well the first two days the lake was to windy for a canoe. so i went and fished a small cove next to my camp sight. i had 2# line with a hook and a worm. boy do i regret that!!!! the water was warm but in the cove there was a very small creek flowing in but that water was ice cold. so i looked down into the flooded creek bed under the lake and saw 5 fish that looked to be from 6 to 10+ lbs. i tossed my worm out teasing it in front of them and hooked the 10
+ pounder!!! after fighting it for a few seconds i couldn't keep her out of the weeds and it snapped my line. a while later i hooked into a 7 pounder or so, and the same thing happened. i fished it all-day Saturday but the fish were too spooked.
the only creature i got in was an eight inch newt which ate my work off the bottom
i was able to make one loop trolling around the lake on sunday but had no luck

oh man what a heartbreaker! that would have been great to bring home a ten plus pounder. do you think my 12 foot aluminum boat would be fine there? where at in the lake were you?

the majority if not all the boats on the lake were ~12ft aluminum. they were fine in the wind too.
