This prayer request is a little unusual, as I don't personally know the family, but this has really touched my heart. My son called me monday evening very upset, saying is friends brother had been killed in a farm machinery accident. The boy's name was Nathan Gourley, and my son knew him fairly well. He was driving a bale wagon on a road near Scio, and he attempted a left turn as a log truck was passing him, and they collided. According to the paper, Nathan was ejected and died at the scene. His older brother was following the bale wagon in a pickup, and witnessed the whole thing. I just cant imagine the horror of watching something like that happen to someone you love.
Also according to a statement by his mother, Nathan was a Christian with a real passion for the Lord.
I would appreciate prayer for the Gourley family, especially Nathan's brother, as well as for my son who is extremely upset by the loss.
