Always remember that Kokies are schooling fish and when you get a bite , circle around again and again , or stop and start to jig fish .

Where were you fishing? The area around the island is usually pretty good this time of year.
Koke fishing has been weird at a number of WA and OR lakes, including Merwin. They seem to be just now schooling up.
I haven't fished Yale yet but Merwin hasn't been "lights out" good for me in about a month. Big fish though. The intent is to hit Yale sometime after Merwin for the bonus Yale limit.

Wife and I had a great time today 15 fish from about 12:30 to 5:30 pm, only on trout no sqaws, good times. Had one double, neted my wifes fish then while I was getting mine to the boat, her fish wiggled up and suck me in the foot with one of the hooks from the wedding ring that was still in his mouth.
Red and silver home made wedding rings with a silver brass model A. 35 to 45 feet. We found a hot spot early on and worked the same area for 13 of the 15 fish.
All in all great day and had a great buger in cougar for lunch.:)

Just eat at the Lone Pine Resort. Larry will hook you up with great food. It's better than the Cougar Bar and Grill in my opinion.

Where's that? Sounds like a place I might like to stop at next time I'm fishing in that area!:food:
