East Lake report

Got back from East Lake yesterday. Fished 4 days and got into the Kokes everyday. Jigging over by the white slide in about 45 to 50ft of water. Anchored up when it was too windy. Mostly on a green and white Gibbs Minnow but when we were in them they hit about any color. My daughter did get this 18in brown. It was released unharmed after the pic.

We were surprised at the number of fat healthy rainbows we caught at East lake (June), holdovers.

Appreciate the report, mk. Just curious...are the kokes running pretty good size this year? Haven't made it over there yet.

We did get into some rainbows over by the resort but the action wasn't all that hot. A couple nice fat 14inchers and some smaller ones to boot. The kokes were all cookie cutter 12in. Fun to catch on light action rods. We've been going up to East for years and the middle daughter (33yr) says it's tradition that we have to go every year. I don't mind, at least there's no bugs and a hot shower when you need it..............
