Seems it's time for me to post something informational. Fished from 3-9 for Kokanee and later browns. At this time in the day, few boats on the water...probably for good reason. Saw a few (3-5) kokes caught by about 3 boats, probably 7 on the lake. We caught one, yahooooo!, and had 3 browms that were smaller than stocker trout come to the boat. Great day of fishing, not of catching. 1st time I ever fished that lake, so a lot was learned. I hear the morning is the way to go. Typical, shoould have been here when....etc.....

Looks like Suttle would have saved gas and produced more close to home.

There you have it. EC

Thanks for the report Tom. By the way, we will be at Little Crater campground Fri till Sun afternoon. If any Ifishers are up there this weekend stop and say hi. Teal Ford F150 with kayaks on top and a 26 1/2 foot Nash trailer. Stop and say hi, especially if you have an open seat,..............Joe

Were you trolling the whole time? I was there last weekend and the trollers were not doing good at all. Jigging for Kok's was the way to go and even that required alot of work. Had to keep moving around and changing the presentation.. but 2 of us got 8 in about 4 1/2 hours.

Trolled half the time while trying to locate the fish. Jigged with the other boats the other half. Corn and a worm tip was working a little for one boat. We lost one jigging, lost one trolling, and landed one trolling. Never saw a great bite, just a few fish here and there. The jigging was happening over towards the bird houses opposite the boat launch. Anchored in about 100' water.

Thanks for the offer, Joe. I don't think I'll be able to pull it off due to working Saturday...maybe next time.

Fished Friday 7/25... Yea, trolling has been slow. This year for some reason the jiggers are doing well later into the season than prior years it seems. So far this year, I have not noticed a morning bite at all trolling. Last few years some mornings it was like a Chinese fire drill trying to keep up with the rods going down. Last Friday we managed putting 8 in the boat trolling, today we came home with 7. Almost to the point of giving jigging a try!
