The Good Lord bless us this AM with a granddaughter. My stepdaughter got up and after short labor, two severe contractions, my stepson delivered the little girl right there at home - about 5 minutes before the mid-wife showed up. All are doing well. I am just so grateful this morning at all the God has blessed me with as long as I keep showing up, keeping my conscience contact with Him and ask for His Will not mine be done.
I do not have children of my own - never been around little kids much - very excited to be a bigger part in my grandson (he's 5) and now my granddaughter's life!

Just back from PHX - thank you for the posts and for the prayers.
She is a beautiful baby, amazing experience.
Her big brother (age 5) is going to have some adjusting to do - we'll see how he does but he seem to be taking a more involved attitude in fishing, camping and such ...
