Hey, i have got sort of tired from fishing the rainbows, i am wanting to catch some brooks for a change. any lakes near portland area? i usually go to timothy lake but i dont know where the brooks are? any advise on where they are in timothy too? what should i use?

I've caught most of the larger brookies trolling around 30'-60' deep in front of the dam at Timothy Lake. Elsewhere in the lake look for the schools of kokanee and troll below, brookies are not far from them.

Hike into square lake (santiam pass) Take a packable inflatable and be there early. ( sun up)

:agree: And Heart Lake Santiam Pass. Long hike, but worth it!
We caught tons of nice Brookies mostly 8-12in with a couple bigger.
Caught some nice Cutts in there also!!
