Hi,

A co-worker brought in a photo of a trout his g/f caught at Vernonia Lake. Does anyone have any tips for fishing that area. I've never been there, but plan to go. BTW, the photo looked like a Rainbow and it is said to be 10lbs. It looked like a really nice trout.

Thanks...

Usually there are not very many trout left in vernonia this time of year and deffinitely not many big fish left. Power biat and little cleo spoons are what have caught me a few of the larger one out of there this year.

Fish the deep water over in the corner, if you were standing at the ramp straight across the lake to the right a little! I bet it isn't much over 15', but its the deepest! Bobber and worms worked great for us!
