A beautiful weekend at Paulina. Weather was great. A lot a skeeters in camp and a ton of midges at the Paulina Lake boat ramp, but none out on the water.
We arrived with my 12 year old niece on Friday afternoon. After we got camp setup, we went out for a bit. It was fairly windy, so it was hard to jig, but we ended up with two decent koks trolling a water melon apex.
Saturday morning, we on the water early and was able to jig. As I got the anchor set, my wife got the niece setup amd had her jig in the water. Before either of us could get our rigs setup, Madison hooked her first kokanee!!! We were scrambling for the net though and were too slow to get her fish in boat. Not long after that though she got another!!

We ended up with 11 before we went in for lunch and a nap. We got back out for the evening and got 4 more to complete our limit.

Any guesses why he's in this phase? Holdover?? He was soft and the meat was nearly white.
Overall a great weekend and a ton of fun with my niece in tow. She would have preferred a lake with innertubes and wakeboards, but I don't think she was as bored as she thought she might be. A trooper too!! Helped with cleaning the fish and taking care of the boat!!
Most fish were caught on an orange Brad's jig on the bottom tipped with corn soaked in kokanee special.

A few on Gibbs pink and white, but only a handful.
