Wickiup? Help?

I have never camped at wickiup, and was thinking of trying it. Has anyone fished and camped there lately? Which campground can you pull your boat up near? Thanks

Look at Gull Point campground on the north west end of the lake. Boat ramp is right next to the campground. Twin Lake campground is just up the road.

We camp at Gull Point every year and try to camp on the Deschutes arm. There is a lot less wake on the channel (speed limit) and it is easy to get a boat banked. We generally have 15' boats and smaller. I like Wikiup because it is great for everyone (fish,ski/jet ski,swim,relax). It is close to South Twin Resort for ice and shower runs. It is also close to several other lakes I like (Davis, Hosmer, North Twin, South Twin, Crane, etc.)

I am making my first trip to Wickiup this year. It is my understanding that the boat ramp next to Gull Point is closed. Is that true or not?

We launched there the week before the 4th.
