so a few of my fellow bass buddys went down for the reopened sturgeon season out of astoria and hooked up with a great guide that i tattoo , he laughed when we got the senkos out, he laughed at our LV500's... just kidding! Caught our first fish before the second rod was even in the water, good day. Spent 5 hours fishin hard, landed 10 fish, 7 keepers, brought home a 54", 52", 51",and a 49", all fat and salty. Great trip, thanks DMAC Outfitters!

Jade, was that tourny out of Scap bay Saturday?
If so I seen a Skeeter headed up the channel past us. We were out goofing around in a buddies new 26' jetpace. I managed two big smallies.... ~2.5lb a peice ...and one other dink. Tough weekend.

Hey great job on those gators! Man that is one BIG guide barge!
Very cool.

the CRB launched out of swan island..... there was one other event but i have no idea where they launched..... good job on the 2 :thisbig: smallies everyone in both events struggled. I heard rumor the other event was won with 8+lbs also....:passout:

Ouch eight pounds!!!!! I sure hope the fishing is tough like that next weekend.. I have a tourney out of scapoose and that could make it very interesting...:D I was out on the willy on saturday and by 12 it was a mess with all the pleasure boaters out there. I had one ski boat cut thirty yards in front of me right where I was fishing and they werent aware that of there reef I was fishing intil they found it with there stainless steel depthfinder. Its amazing how many peolple allegedly passed the boaters test and dont have a clue what channel markers are......Kinda bitter sweet.....

Hahahaha, that is hilarious.... I think their is an increase in people who have no clue what they are doing this year... makes me miss fishing in the rain....

It's funny how timing can be so important. I have a friend who chased the Gators in the same area on Sunday and only got one keeper all day. You guys had a very successful day. Congratulations.

I bet Ed and Nick did take theirs on senkos!
