I will be in prineville for a week coming up. Wondering how the fishing is over there and if there are any good spots i can target in my float tube?

I haven't been in the last couple of weeks, but we have always caught a few rainbows at Ochoco. Typically we have trolled near the banks with flashers and night crawlers. 12-14" was typical. Good luck!

We did well (15-16" nice fat 'bows) on Prineville a couple weeks ago trolling Gold spoons and a Blue fox spinner near the bank early in the Morning. At about 10:30 we switched to a grub and caught smallies along the banks, hook-ups every 2-3 casts.

We were there June 18-21 and while there were plenty of bass, the trout were awesome. We had originally gone for crappie but they are way too small this year. I don't fish for trout often so all we did was troll Panther Martins & Blue Fox spinners out the back and one person did the cast and retrive and we caught several in the am & pm. Went to Bi-Mart and bought some Ford Fender Lake Trlls and had success with those too. They only area we worked for trout was the inlet end up where the speed goes to 10MPH. In theevening both the Lake Trolls and the cast ans retrived worked well.
GOOD LUCK

I've never fished Ochoco reservior. What to check it out next weekend and try out my new (to me) drift boat. I don't have a motor so trolling might be tiresome. Any tips. I like to catch anything that bites!
