Went smallmouth fishin on the Willy above the falls this am. Got a late start, but in 2-1/2 hours hooked about 20, boated and released a lot of dinks and a couple nice 2+ pounders. They hit cranks and Senkos in 6-8 ft.

The moss was gone, and flow is down to 11,000 cfm, temp 64.5

Dave I'm confused....it's light at what 5am....and work starts at what 8-9am......geeze that's 3-4hrs of water time. :wink:

Wille, thanks for the report. Glad to see the flow back off & nice to hear the moss is clearing. Of course it's still on the rocks though.

Did you motor over to the mouth of the Tualatin ? many many large carp in the warm shallows. We caught a few smallies around rock islands.

Update:

We went back today (Wed) to see if it was a fluke - Nope, sacked em up again. About 20 fish on Senkos. Didn't get on the river til 9, off at noon.

We were upriver from Wilsonville, not near the Tualatin.

We did find a sandbar near Champoeg where massive carp were rooting.
