I found the bass but I can't row and work the lure at the same time. The wind was blowing about 7 to 10 mph. So what I ended up doing was make a long cast to the area the bass were holding near and then row up wind with by bail open. Then I would stop rowing and start working my lure. I could work the lure longer and I got more fish doing this. With that much line out I had to reel all the way down to the fish then set the hook with a bg swing to get all the stretch out and set the hook. I have never realy done that much before. I have cast to the side of low hanging limbs on a tree then row to the other side of the tree with the drag open as the lure sinks I pull the line under the tree now I work the lure all the way under the tree and out the other side. That worked good on trees I could not skip under.

Roger...for many of us that's like saying all you have to do to bake is crack open the eggs!!!:D I swear you could catch bass in a puddle!!!

This is where wearing fins on your pontoon is worth the time in this type of situation. You can continue to to kick backwards to maintain positions and still cast as normal.
