well, i told dave he could write the report this time, but too late!!!! :D
once again 1Bigfish and myself hit up the willy in salem. In the water by 6am, and off the water at 2 pm. Weather was nice with patchy clouds. Got into the 80's. Great day on the water. I believe we landed 31 fish. 29 of them sm bass, and 2 ********* chalk full of eggs.
Dave stuck it to me early landing 3 fish on dropshot. He stuck with that method most of the day being pretty consistant. I used grubs with a darter/jig head ranging from 4'' to 3''. Various colors as well. We each got around 15 give or take a few. I believe we should have mixed these two methods together and we would have done better. i did real well in the shallows, and dave hit em harder on the drop shot in the deeper waters. Big fish i believe was only about 1.10 oz. Got a handfull over 1 1/2lbs and lots of dinks. Dave and I both caught fish 5'' and less.
once again i learned tons from dave on the willy. my last two trips on the willy would have taken me years to learn through searching by myself. I now have sections of the rivers somewhat figured out thanks to his super guide service :D :applause: he even let me use his new BPS rod as my BPS rod is a couple generations old :passout:lol. Boy has technology come along, i fell in love with the balance of the bionic blade with the sedona reel and lite line. Handled the ********* in current well, which should be standard, but these ones actually started to fight for a good 30 seconds all the way to the boat :meme:
im sure dave will add what i left out and maybe some pics of our toads
