Yes I'm new to the toon world, but I would like to set up a fish-in on a lake that is LESS THAN 10 miles from down town Portland and ALMOST never gets fished. We will need to hike about 200 (or less) yards to the put in place. The lake has bass! So who is up for this trip??????
And when is a good day for this to happen?
I will PM the people that can make it and fill them in all the details of the location.
thanks!
Roger

I'm interested. I'm also new to the pontoon world of fishing. I've been taking care of a newborn for the past couple of weeks so I'm due for a short break. Let me know what you come up with Roger!

I'm down Roger.=) When are you thinking?
I have a spare toon as well, but it's a little more difficult to carry since it's a 10'.

The date is next Thurs or the Sat after that. Let me know what works best for all of you. We will be portaging the boats about 150 yards to the lake. This lake is almost never fished and I know the lake has bass! and it is not far so we save on Gas money:passout:.
Next time we will do the yamhill:meme:.
There are lots of lakes we can hit that a bass boat will never touch:whistle:.
We are looking for big and dumb bass, the best kind:D.
If any one would like to take a shot at what lake this is????? good luck:flowered:
It is less than 15 miles from down town Portland.
Also blue lake can be on the list of spots we try!

I've always wanted to try out Smith/Bybee. That was one of the places I had in mind before buying my pontoon.
Side note, how do you guys rig up your pontoon to carry more than one rod?
ExBassGuide
07-09-2008, 02:55 PM
I have a mesh screen in front and I lay my two extra rods next to me (tip back and reel to the front of the toon.
Roger
Ok lets go to Smith & Bybee lakes this time and maybe the river next time.
Is that ok with every one?

If you are talking about the park on the willy near all the back water, I will check on what time they open next week and make a test run. If any one would like to grabe a toon and join me...

:passout::(:bricks: Sorry every one I cant make it on Sat. for the next 6 weeks. Some one at work is having back surgery and I have to cover for them. If some one will step up and make this happen I will do every thing I can! Blue lake is one more good choise! If you plan to attend please cast a vote and I will set up a toon tourny (or fun fish-in) when I get to take vacation.
Thanks for understanding!
Roger

is blue lake open to private boats?

Blue Lake is only open to private boats until the end of May. Once the summer hours start, you have to rent a boat from the marina.
