Took the girls ski biscuiting today at Hagg lake. Had them sleep in the back of the truck while I arrived at the lake at daybreak. Fished til 9:00am before starting the fun with the girls.
Fishing was slow and most fish were small males. But I got a bonus this morning and caught a 4 lb 8 oz smallie that measured 20 inches long.

My computer is giving me fits. I couldn't finish the post before I lost internet connection. Here is the rest of the story.
I go back in to the ramp to check on the girls. They are still sleeping so I go out again. On another major lake point I picked up this huge largemouth!

Both fish came on sekno type baits. The largemouth came on one that I was fishing weightless. Water temp was 74 degrees. Water was off color. Skies, partially overcast.
The LM weighed 7 lbs on the nose. She was 22 1/2 inches long.

Rich,
You have been hammering the big fish this year. What I am impressed with is how many quality largemouth you have caught!!! I am so glad to see you posting again. I have been so busy with family and kids this year. I will be heading to Alaska in mid July, but mabye we can hook up in August some time, or mabye even go after them in September.

Those are both trophys.. one because they are pigs!!! and another reason is that you caught those at Hagg. That lake is so hard to catch those big hens. Great work. :)

Bassinator. That is what I was thinking. Why did I get rewarded with two pigs in one day. when usually I'll fish there two or three seasons per pig?
It was highly unusual and extremely exciting. The weather change since Sunday obviously had a lot to do with it. It was just all in all a great day for fishing.

The water clarity has gone down quite a bit lately. (about 3 ft visibility)
Rich you are knocking them dead this year. I have to admit I'm jealous of those Hagg fish.=)

Nice fish. Is there a top water bite going on there?
