My mom is starting radiation therapy on Thursday for pancreatic cancer in the new cancer building at Providence Hospital. She's been in and out of the hospital a few times but seems to bounce back and has good spirits about her condition. She tells me stories every day about all the people she is meeting at the hospital and doctor offices that have cancer too of all ages. So sad that so many have cancer too. Thanks in advance for your prayers for mom. :flowered:

Your mom will be in my prayers. It's good to hear that she is in such good spirit. I lost an older brother and dad to cancer. Dad lived a very happy and productive life despite fighting the disease for over 15 years before passing peaceably in the hospital at 95. Things are looking brighter and brighter each day with all of the new techniques and medicines being developed to fight cancer. Providence is a wonderful hospital and prayer is a powerful tool. We can rest with assurance when we put our trust into the hands of our Heavenly Father who cares so much for us.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. Mom made it through 2 radiation treatment day's and many many more days to go. She has to go in every weekday for 6 straight weeks for treatments and it only takes about 10 minutes. Her doctor see's 70 patients a day there, wow!
Thank you again for praying for our mom, grandmother, & great grandmother.

It's been a while since I posted here. Want to thank all who prayed for mom who is now in God's hands. She did a lot of suffering and was in so much pain and hope no one ever has to see a mother die like this. She passed away early Wednesday morning so now dad sure can use some prayers. We are just so happy to know mom is not suffering anymore and is in God's house now. Thanks again for prayers and thoughts for the family. :angel::pray:
