I have twin 115 f\s Suzk's and 9.9 kicker. After 20 mins running at 4,000
rpms on plane my starboard engine stumbled and began surging but never
died the port engine running fine. I shut down the s.b. engine and just ran the port then it began to do it though not as bad. O.k. I think I have water in the fuel. Check all filters and the tank and no water anywhere not even a drop. Put it all back together thinking maybe an air leak around my filters. Well it's still doing it. Any suggestions???

Do they have separate filters? Could be that the filters are plugged.:twocents:

Yes they are seperate filters for each engine except the kicker it is off the port motor. The filters are brand new- no hours. Both times it has happened it was on new filters. I put the motors on the computer and no error codes came up. So I would think it has to be fuel or lack of but water does not appear to be the problem either.

Yes they do. I was told that you can undo the connection at the tank and pull the pick ups through the fittings and check the screens. Have you done this ?? When I pulled the access cover to look in the tank it is just little to forward of the pick ups to visual inspect the screens. I did however insert a pump and pump some fuel out around the screens hoping to pick up anything that might clogging. That didn't seem to work or that is not the problem.

There might be a check ball in the hose fitting coming out of the tank. These sometimes corrode and it is difficult to get fuel past them. Unscrew the fitting and look inside the fitting for a spring and a check ball.

First of all thanks for all your help. I looked at the pickup's and mine have a 90 welded on to it then the check valve. I will pull these and inspect. Thanks again

Thank you very much. It is nice to have such at deep pool of resources and everybody is so helpful. Hopefully I can return the generosity with what little knowledge I do have.
