Anyone been fishing big or little Lava? My boys want to take me fishing on Fathers day and those are their favorite lakes. I'd heard the early season midge swarm was on and that can really put the fishing off for a week or two.

We fished it Saturday of Memorial Weekend and BANGED 'em. The ice had been off for a totaly of about 12 hours. There was still lots of slush on the banks and in the middle.
Worm off the bottom was the ticket for us. With 4 of us in the boat, we caught ~25, most averaged 14"+. I think we kept 10 or so.
We always have good luck this time of year.
