Minn Kota 70 or 80 maxxum?

I am going to put a Minn kota transom mount elecrtic on my boat. its a 25' supervee. Has anyone had any experiance with this set up? Its $100 difference between the maxxum 70 and 80. My last boat had a 101 maxxum and I rarely used more than 30 lbs of thrust. Would the 70 lbs of thrust be enough?

It depends on what you want to do with it. I have the 80 on a 19' scout and it works out. Top speed 2.5 mph, so far plenty of thrust on the couple of times I have used it.

I have the 70lb model on my 20' SuperVee and would say for a hundred dollars more I would go with the 80lb one.

Where are you going to buy it? I got my 80# from Cabelas for $499. If that is where you are looking, I have a $20 off coupon you can have... now its only $80 difference... go 80# btw.
