I'll likely be out there Sunday the 15th. Anyone know if there are still boat rentals there? I heard there was a concession at ramp C area but seems like it's been closed down (at least the phone # doesn't work anymore).
Probably start out around the dam area in the AM if no boats available.

There were people in rentals last week when I was out there. I would just assume they aren't using the phone anymore.

The boat rentals are still there I believe the cost is $60 a day, but not positive on that.

fished it monday and was able to get into fish consistently with trolling gear and modified wedding rings- take them apart and restring them with 5' plus leader. Didn't have any takers till I went with smaller spinners and longer leaders, I think the fish were spooky after the free fish frenzy last weekend. did anyone get up there and witness any mayhem on saturday or sunday last?

Last sunday was good for the trolling, wedding rings were killing them all afternoon. The banks were just as busy as any other weekend.

Here's some decent info from a Luhr Jensen tech bulletin.

Troll the whole no wake area until you find fish. They have been about 20ft -30ft deep, just start working the area until you get a bite, then work that area a little heavier until there is no action. Then move, watch boats and what they are doing. Ihave caught fish all over that area from the boat ramp to the middle and running along the shore line. They seem to like to move around.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

there are fish in the shallow end, but I like the deep end myself. Put in at ramp a and head straight across, troll between there and the dam, putting in a little extra time at the points and ridges, then try the north side back to the ramp. If you don't have a limit by then, at least you will know where to go back to get get them. If nothing was working, try the shallow end. I havent been over there for anything but bass so far this year, but in all honesty I see more big fish pictures from over there than from the fast side this year. have fun, should be hot. I will be up there saturday morning.

fished saturday 10 to noon, wedding rings brought in ten fish on two rods in two hours, easy limits straight across from the a ramp. waterskiers and jetskis and obnoxious stereo blasters start in around noon, get there early!
