Well, we made our trip last week and the best fishing by far was at Odell with a total catch of 15. The last day (Tuesday) was rainy and we played lazy, but I understand that morning everyone nocked them dead.

Wikiup was windy, windy, WINDY!!!. It was our first time there so I don't know how normal that was. Did pickup two very fat kokes. Everyone was complaining about how slow the fishing was. Gull Point is great.

Last stop was Suttle and it was not slow, IT WAS DEAD.

High point was Fri/Sat/Sun when my daughter and grandson joined us, his first time fishing. He is three and a half and could not wait to go. Like I said, this fish were not biting but that did not matter to him he was fishing with Grandpa in the boat.

A couple of more things.

If you want to buy dead worms you can get them at the Store in Cresent Lake on the South side of the highway, and the neat thing is they cost just as much as the live worms.:smash:

I also talked to several guys that were using tuna oil as a scent, right out of the Bumble Bee can. I had not heard of this on this site but it seemed to be popular at Odell and Wikiup. I did not have a chance to try it, all the tuna we had was packed in water, not oil.

Did you let Mark know about them? I am very sure he would have corrected the problem.

Did not notice it until I opened them at Wikiup. From now on I double check before I leave the store, any store.

tuna oil and corn have always worked for me at suttle and foster. Tried it last year at odell, no luck, will have to try again.

Appreciate the report. It's great that your family got to spend some time together in the beautiful Cascades despite the crummy weather. :)
