Blue River/Cougar Res.

Anyone have any idea about fishing this area from the bank? Stream, river, or lake are all fine.

Last friday at Cougar I caught 4 trout and 5 landlocked chinook salmon. The salmon were all small at 10 inches being the biggest and 4 inches the smallest. 2 of the trout were caught using worms with the weight of a swivel only. The rest of the trout and the salmon were all caught on a bronze Thomas with black and red spots. The biggest fish was an 18 inch native rainbow caught on half a nightcrawler.
I hear Blue R. Res. is producing good fish too. A guy I work with said he caught 2 15 inch rainbows and he said there were fish jumping all over the place.
I only saw one other person at Cougar and I'm sure there are more at Blue R. Res. I usually factor this into my choice of places to go.
