Trout Update, hot off the press!

Just got off the phone with Wanafish. They fished Cresent last night, marked a lot of fish, just none of them wanted to play, water temp still really cold. As I type this they are sitting in 14' of water off Dry Creek on Diamond Lake. Tried North end off outlet, lots of weeds and rough water and no luck. Weather is cold, blustery and rain, 28 degrees when they launched this AM. They are sitting inside the boat cabin, warm and toasty, waiting for a rod to start dancing before they brave the weather. They have one 20", one 17" and have released a bunch of 12" dinks. Five year old green power bait is the ticket so far. Now how is that for a hot off the press report.

Drove by the South boat ramp on Wednesday about 9:15 and there were 3 in the lot and one launching. The docks were still on the asphalt. Then drove by the 'Resort' boat ramp, the parking lot was full, two launching, one waiting and there were two parked on the highway. It was raining cats and dogs and blustery winds. I will be there on Sunday to give it a try.
