Anyone going to take their kids to this event? I'm planning on bringing my son up for some of the activities, sounds like a fun day.

Free youth fishing clinics are scheduled June 7 at Merwin Park and June 14 at Mount Adams-Guler Country Park in Trout Lake as part of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest’s 20th annual observance of National Fishing Week.
The event at Merwin Park along the west end of Merwin Reservoir on June 7 begins at 9 a.m. and continues until 2 p.m.
Activities will include fishing, a casting contest, making fish T-shirt prints and other environmental activities.
Sponsors include the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, PacifiCorp, Camas Moose Lodge, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Fish First, Mount St. Helens Institute and Cowlitz Fire District No. 1.
There will be free snacks and beverages.
For more information, call Adam Haspiel of the U.S. Forest Service at 360-449-783

We hit the event at Trout lake every year. Its a blast for the kids. They block off the section of the irrigation ditch that runs through the park and dump a truck load of trout in there and have a mini tourny for the kids. They also have a BBQ, and a bunch of booths with different activities like face painting, fish printing, fly tying, casting, trivia, a prize wheel, and a raffle. The kids will get to catch fish (they provide bait, tackle, and cane poles, or you can bring your own) eat food, win prizes, and have a blast.

If you have little ones its a great way to spend a morning.:meme:
