Racquetball fans - toss up a prayer for Rhonda Rajsich

Rhonda is the #1 Womens Pro in the world in both indoor and outdoor racquetball and a fellow Team Ektelon Teammate was attacked on Hermosa Beach near her apartment on Saturday. She is still in the hospital in stable condition, but with multiple injuries including a broken jaw. She will also require reconstructive surgery to repair the side of her face next week. To top it off she won't be able to compete for some time and her insurance won't cover it all

I'm so tired of this sort of thing.

Little update - Rhonda is still in the hospital. She had surgery yesterday to begin repairing the four fractures in her face, cheek and eye orbital socket. They are not sure, but they expect that she will need additional surgeries after this one depending on what they found. The Eye Doctor doesn't expect any vision damage, but they have not ruled that out. There is a possibility that her career as the best womens racquetball player is over according to our team newsletter this morning. She's not out of the woods yet.
