Atwood Hydraulic surge brake actuator

I made to bone head move of taking my trailer off the ball of my truck while the cable for the emergency brake was still attatched to my truck. The trailer rolled back a ways and set the emergency brake on the boat trailer.

Is there a way to reset the emergency brake? I can't seem to make the cable slide back into where it belongs..

Has this happened to anyone else or am I the only moron that this has happened to...

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

The cable is attached to a lever or plunger that needs to be reset. It's not a permanent problem, and I guarantee you're not the only one that's done that, if you know what I mean :D

I'll try to remember to take a close look at the Atwood model at work tomorrow, so I can be a bit more specific.
