I read the carp on a fly thread and later in the day I was watching a couple of koi feed. They were sucking down some floating pond vegitation like crazy. Anyway, that got me to wondering, are flies ever tied to look like plants?

back east when I was a kid we'd watch the carp congregating under the mulberry trees that lined the creek. They'd hover, waiting, when *PLOP* an over-ripe berry would hit the water, and all heck would break loose - :bigshock: carp feeding frenzy! So we tied big bulky purple "berry" flies and PLOPPED them down under the trees....man that was about as fun as it gets!

so yes!
