No, it is blown out from WARM SPRINGS down I believe. I may be wrong on the WS to TC section, but here in Maupin it is black, mocha color.

I'm betting it was the thunderstorm action we had early in the week that blew out the Crooked River?

Talked to a shuttle driver, and the mud is from TC down. Still real muddy in Maupin late pm.

Just got off a three day trip, the morning of day one Trout creek rose over a foot and a half in an hour, decided to launch anyways. Day one we managed one 24" large scale sucker, and a six inch chislemouth. The mud brought out the rough fish! Day 2 woke to about 6 inches of visibility, an improvement over the day before! Kept fishing and managed a half dozen redsides on nymphs. River was on the rise, running around 7500 c.f.s, had three people up front, upper whitehorse was big but had a good run, although I found a sneaker wave down lower that drenched us good! Day three woke up to about 2 feet of vis. fishing was better even managed a few on stonefly dries. Buckskin was the biggest I have ever seen it, wasn't able to sneak the wave at the bottom, thought we were gonna get trashed but was able to push right through the gut of the thing! What a rush, but looking forward to those summer water levels!

Saturday night report....River at Maupin has cleared to about 16 inches of vis but is running at 9000 cfs. Saw fishermen on the river, so must be catching something...

Water is 9200 cfs at Moody Monday morning. Water has cleared in the Maupin area and Stone Flies are popping at different spots along the river. Easy to find the hatches. Just watch for the cloud of seagulls eating them. The upper stretch is clear and should provide some good fishing. Hopefully the water will come down a little.

WS to TC is fine. Trout Creek is still very much blown out. The river is very high and I rate fishing as poor. Managed some nice fish nymphing, the fish are not looking up.
