Hey All, Anyone have fly experience with chinook in the Tillamook or Nestucca bays? I'm looking at a 10 weight rig to cast from my kayak. Any suggestions on locations or flys?
Thanks,
Jay

I've got a few Chinook in tidewater. Here is a fish from Nestucca Bay.

Clouser minnows work well, especially chartreuse and white. I suggest looking for fish rolling to find holding water. Have a variety shooting heads for fishing different depths. Make sure you have lots of backing on your reel, because a fresh Chinook in open water will really run.
