SUCKED! WS to TC. I caught one 8" fish. But I didn't fish much, as I was teaching two FF newbies today. Total half dozen hooked, but nothing to the net. Water was high and cold.....especially down the back of the waders. :redface: My dad shuttled for us and fished around TC all day. He spanked 'em in the morning. Then the rains came and kept coming and kept coming. We were off the water by 3:00, soaked to the bone.
There are some salmon flies and stones around. A little caddis hatch came off around 1:00 PM. Saw a couple light BWO hatches. But we couldn't get a fish to take. :shrug: The only thing I could figure was that the water was cold.
Only 3 or 4 other boats on the river today. It was a nice, peaceful day. Talked to two of them - they both got skunked. We need some lower flows and higher temps to get things rockin' over there! :pray:
Finished the day off by discovering a burned up wheel bearing on the DB trailer while dropping my dad off at home. :passout: I HATE BEARING BUDDIES!
