Saturday Smallie report

Fished Bonneville pool on Saturday for smallmouth. Ended up with 15 but didn't really figure them out until later in the day. They weren't in the 1' of water in the back of coves like on Monday. Caught them on the points of coves and flats on the main river. I was slow fishing just off the bottom with spinner baits. Average size.
Saw quite a few bass fishermen out yesterday too. I talked to a couple of them but no one seemed to be "tearin em up". Anyway, had a good time once I started getting into them.

I am headed up on Monday and am pretty ignorant when comes to the Bpool. How far up river did you go?

Started out at Cascade Locks and just worked my way up river hitting the points where you have slack water created by the point. When you get one, keep working that point. Usually you will pick up several in the same spot.

Thanks for the tip. I am "returning" to bass fishing after a long hiatas. It feels like I am starting all over again. Its fun and frustrating at the same time. I am at the point where I must keep the faith,...0/too many to admit to!!!
